Arthur Becker, Chief Executive Officer
As the chief executive officer (CEO) and a member of the NaviSite Board of Directors, Arthur Becker provides day-to-day leadership to the company’s senior management and is personally involved in the strategy, financing and merger and acquisition (M&A) activities of the company. Mr. Becker was a founding investor and member of the Board of Directors of ClearBlue Technologies, Inc., a company started in 2001 with the purpose of acquiring distressed Internet infrastructure companies. He is also co-founder of Atlantic, LLC, an investment fund company he started with NaviSite Chairman Andy Ruhan, which acquired the data center assets of Colo.com in 2001.
Mr. Becker comes to NaviSite with experience as founder and managing member of several technology and investment companies, including Impower, a London-based provider of technology consulting services to government; Advance Partners, LLC, which provided financial advisory services to Cendent Corporation and Global Switch in the UK; and Madison Technology, LLC, a New York-based technology investment firm. From 1987 through 1993, Mr. Becker was previously with Bear Stearns & Company (BSC-NYSE), where he led the successful proxy contest for control of ProGroup, Inc., a leading golf equipment and apparel manufacturer. Prior to that, he held various positions from managing partner to owner of a number of real estate development companies.
R. Brooks Borcherding, President
As NaviSite’s President, R. Brooks Borcherding is responsible for overall sales, marketing, operations and service delivery as well as business planning and day-to-day operations. Brooks leads the executive team in accelerating NaviSite’s transformation into the leading provider of complex hosting, application management and cloud solutions for enterprise customers. Under his leadership, NaviSite is building a world-class organization dedicated to offering clients unparalleled service and support as an Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider. With his direction, we intend to further our focus on the unique requirements confronting senior level IT executives in organizations throughout the world.
Brooks joins NaviSite from Cisco Systems, where he was responsible for strategy, planning, business development and sales operations for its Enterprise East division with a focus on driving revenue from Cisco’s largest customers. Previously, he held leadership positions in sales, sales management, general management, product management and information technology at Avaya, Lucent and AT&T. Brooks began his career as a senior consultant at Andersen Consulting.
Claudine Bianchi, Chief Marketing Officer
In her role as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Claudine leads NaviSite’s global marketing, positioning and messaging and provides strategic direction for accelerating the growth of NaviSite’s brand. She brings to NaviSite more than 20 years experience in technology marketing. Most recently, she was Vice President of Marketing at MetaCarta, a pioneer in the burgeoning geo-web space, whose technology allows content to be geographically referenced and searched using a map as a filter. She worked extensively with brand leaders like National Geographic and helped propel MetaCarta’s business in the public sector, publishing and energy markets.
Prior to MetaCarta, Bianchi was Vice President of Marketing at eCopy, a leader in document distribution and enterprise content management solutions which was recently acquired by Nuance. While at eCopy, she worked closely with Canon USA to build eCopy’s brand and leverage eCopy as a differentiator for the Canon Enterprise Sales organization. Before eCopy, she was Director of Marketing at Forrester Research playing an instrumental role in establishing the Forrester brand as a leader in the technology research industry. Earlier in her career, she held a variety of marketing positions in numerous start ups including Viewlogic Systems, Concentric Data, and JetForm. Bianchi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Dartmouth College.
Mark Clayman, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Sales
As Senior Vice President, Enterprise Sales, Mark Clayman provides strategic direction for global sales operations to drive revenue growth. With extensive experience that spans multiple functional responsibilities over the course of his career, Mark focuses on enhancing the sales capabilities across the enterprise to increase closed opportunities for both install base and new logo prospects. In his earlier role as Senior Vice President Service Delivery within the company, Mark continually improved the company’s overall service delivery, applications services and account management to meet the growing demands of NaviSite customers.
Mark joined NaviSite through the acquisition of Surebridge, Inc., a Lexington, MA provider of application services where he served as Vice President and CIO, responsible for creating and managing the Hosting and Technology Group. Clayman began his career as a Corporate Accountant for The Berkshire Group, producing their quarterly and annual financial consolidations of the corporate entities for Senior Management and third-party auditors.
Denis Martin, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Denis Martin's role as Executive Vice President reflects his continued contributions to NaviSite's strategic direction, including acquisition activity, and product, service, and channel development. Martin brings 20 years of business experience and has served in several positions in the company, most recently as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. He has extensive experience in network-based computing and outsourced delivery of business solutions and managed services.
Before joining NaviSite, Mr. Martin managed the national hosting and application services organization for AppliedTheory, Inc. As a co-founder of AppliedTheory, Inc., he was instrumental in the development of the company's managed service offering by combining traditional hosting services with application development, integration and support services. He had served as Senior Director of Software Engineering at AppliedTheory's predecessor, NYSERNet, the world's first regional Internet service provider. He has also acted as a consultant to several state and federal agencies in developing network and application programs at local, state and national levels.
Jim Pluntze, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer for NaviSite, Jim Pluntze is responsible for all finance and administration functions within which include, due diligence for all acquisitions, asset reallocation, and fund raising efforts for the company. Mr. Pluntze is also a member of the NaviSite Sarbanes-Oxley steering committee.
Mr. Pluntze joined NaviSite in 2002 as the Chairman of the Audit Committee on the Board of Directors. In March of 2003, Mr. Pluntze moved to an operating role within the company as the acting Chief Financial Officer and held that position until May 2005 when he became the Sr. Vice President of Finance. During his time at NaviSite, Mr. Pluntze played a key role in NaviSite’s six acquisitions. Mr. Pluntze has over 20 years of experience in high level finance positions in several Massachusetts high tech companies.
Sumeet Sabharwal, Senior Vice President of Global Delivery
As Senior Vice President of Global Delivery, Sumeet Sabharwal is responsible for leading and managing NaviSite's Global Delivery organization. This includes all aspects of sales and delivery for NaviSite’s custom application services business and the Global Delivery operations that span the various service offerings.
Mr. Sabharwal brings extensive experience in both the IT services and outsourcing arenas, having spent more than six years leading and managing the global delivery operations for IT services companies, like Sapient and Intrasphere. Before joining NaviSite, Sabharwal was Vice President and Managing Director at Intrasphere, where he led their Global Delivery operations and served on the Board of Intrasphere India. Prior to Intrasphere, he was Vice President and Executive Director at Sapient, where he played an instrumental role in launching the Global Delivery operations in India and growing it to more than 800 people in less than four years. He also led Sapient's application management business across both the US and Europe, and held responsibility over all facets of its operations, including sales and service delivery. He previously held senior level positions at Visient, Sapient, and Motorola.
Roger Schwanhausser, Senior Vice President, Service Delivery
As Senior Vice President, Service Delivery, Roger leads the service delivery, applications management, professional services, and facilities management teams with overall responsibility for delivering exceptional customer service and accelerating the growth of applications services. Leveraging his tremendous leadership and deep technology experience, Roger architects service delivery processes and methodologies across the entire spectrum of service offerings to maximize value for customers and consolidate NaviSite’s position in the high-growth market.
Roger brings to NaviSite breadth of IT management experience, including 26 years at IBM Global Services where he last served as the Director of Integrated Technology Services with P&L responsibility for technology system sales, consulting and services. Roger’s tenure at IBM also included roles as the Global Director for the Storage and Data Infrastructure services division as well as Managing Executive for the Enterprise Engineering Consulting Services division. Most recently, Roger served as the Vice President of IT Services at Collabera, a privately held technology services and sourcing company, where he was responsible for overall business development, enterprise solutions and software services, and channel development.
Rathin Sinha, President, America’s Job Exchange
As President of the America’s Job Exchange (AJE), a wholly owned subsidiary of NaviSite, Rathin is responsible for incubation, development and growth of this on-line job search and recruitment business leading all strategic and operational functions.
Rathin joined Navisite in June 2007 as SVP and Chief Marketing Officer bringing in more than twenty years of internet and marketing experience, and a track record of growing high-tech and on-line businesses. Prior to NaviSite, he was VP/GM at Monster.com where he founded and led aggressive growth of the SMB targeted e-commerce channel making it the largest in the on-line recruiting industry. Earlier, he was VP of Strategic Marketing at Standard Register, Senior Director of eCommerce at Kinko’s and a Strategy Consultant with the Mitchell Madison Group. Rathin earned his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, M.S. from the University of California, Berkeley, and B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology.
